भारतको मुजफ्फरपुर कारागारमा बन्दी रहेका नेपाली माओवादीलाई जेल प्रशासनले खानेबस्ने र स्व्ाास्थ्य उपचारको उचित व्यवस्था नगेरकाले एकको कारागारमै मृत्यु भएको छ । अन्य कैदीबन्दीले पनि कष्टपूर्ण जीवन बिताउनुपरेको खुलासा भएको छ ।

By any interpretation of international law, Israel today is committing massive and egregious war crimes and crimes against humanity against the defenseless people of Palestine and Lebanon.  It’s doing it with the full support and encouragement of the US and willful compliance of the West, most of the Arab world, the UN and the dominant corporate media worldwide acting as cheerleaders for the mass killing, crippling destruction, and immiseration of innocent civilians in Lebanon and the Palestinian Occupied Territories. नेपाल सरकारले संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघलाई पत्र पठाएको २२ दिनपछि सोमवार नेकपा माओवादीले पनि राष्ट्रसंघका महासचिव कोफी अन्नानलाई पत्र पठाएको छ । माओवादी अध्यक्ष प्रचण्डको हस्ताक्षरसहित पठाइएको पत्रमा नेपाल सरकारको तर्फाट जुलाई २ मा पठाइएको पत्रको बुँदा नं. ३ र ४ प्रति असहमति जाहेर गरिएको छ । आठबुँदे सहमतिको बुँदा नं. ३ को स्मरण गराउँदै सेना र हतियारको व्यवस्थापन एवं स्वतन्त्र र भयमुक्त वातावरणमा संविधानसभाको निर्वाचन गर्न राष्ट्रसंघलाई बोलाउने निर्ण्र्ााभएको पत्रमा जनाइएको छ । (more…)

उत्तरः- नेपालमा सबैभन्दा उपेक्षित, शोषित, अपहेलित र उपेक्षित मधेश हो । अर्को भाषामा भन्ने हो भने मधेस गोर्खा राज्यको हमेसा आन्तरिक उपनिवेश भएको छ । राज्यले अहिलेको खश ब्राहृमणवादी उच्च पहाडिया सत्ताले मधेशीहरूलाई जहिले पनि दर्ुइ नम्बरको नागरिक र मधेशलाई उपनिवेश र लुट्ने काम गरेको छ । मधेशीहरूलाई कहिल्यै पनि राष्ट्रले दिनुपर्ने सम्मान दिएको छैन् । मधेशीहरूको पहिचान स्वाभिमानको समस्याको समाधानका लागि राज्यको पुनःसंरचनाना नै हाम्रो मुख्य एजेण्डा हो । (more…)

सात दलको सरकारले ने.क.पा.-माओवादी) संग भएको १२ बुँदे समझदारी र आठ बुँदे सहमतिको मर्म विपरीत संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघलाई पत्र लेखेछ नि ?

यो पत्रको भाषा र पठाउने प्रक्रियाप्रति हाम्रो पूर्ण असहमति छ । प्रक्रियागत रुपमा भन्दा सरकारले यो पत्र पठाउँदा हामीसंग कुनै सोधपुछ गरेन । जबकि आठ बुँदे सहमतिका आधारमा यो पत्र लेख्नु पथ्र्यो । यसको भावमा समान बुझाइमा लेखिनु पथ्र्यो । यसका निमित्त सरकारले हामीसंग कुनै सहकार्य गरेन । यसमा असहमति र आशंका त्यहाँ हो । दोश्रो कुरा पत्रमा जुन कुरा लेखिएको छ, पुरानो सेनालाई व्यारेकमा मात्रै राख्ने र जनमुक्ति सेनाको हतियारलाई जनसेनाबाट अलग गर्ने र हतियार संयुक्त राष्ट्रसंघको निगरानीमा राख्ने भावको पत्र छ, त्यो अहिले हुनै सक्दैन । (more…)

As you know when we signed the 12-point understanding with seven parties last November, the basic roadmap is outlined there. We see democracy, peace and progress as a whole. These three aspects cannot be separated from each other. If you talk only of democracy and forget the other two, that is not going to solve the problem. If you talk only of peace, that also won’t do. But if you talk only of democracy and peace, that will be status quoist peace. We want forward-looking peace. So we want democracy, peace and progress. They must go together. (more…)

For four weeks football fever gripped the world, and now that the World Cup is over many millions have been left with a sour taste in their mouths. We saw victories and defeats, shared the joy and sadness of players and supporters, witnessed beautiful and ugly moments. We saw the tears of the players when they lost or were forced to leave the tournament. We saw ugly moments when the players pushed and injured each other. We have seen widespread racist insults against black players by supporters of the opposite team and even fans of their own team. (more…)
